Service Technician – Industrial Piston and Diaphragm Pumps 

Bolair Fluid Handling Systems, Canada’s premium provider of industrial pumping systems for foam insulation, protective coatings and other difficult to handle fluids, is hiring for an experienced Service Technician for our Halton Hills (Milton), ON facility.

Job Summary: This role is a full time position. The successful applicant will have a positive attitude and bring a great work ethic and be able to perform duties independently or within a team structure in this growing facility.

Responsibilities of this position include: 

  • Technical repair work including troubleshooting
  • Repair of piston and diaphragm pumps and related systems
  • Involvement in Rig Production and system assembly
  • Maintain day-to-day updates of activity reports and inventory usage
  • Providing technical phone support to customers
  • Other duties as required by management

As a qualified candidate, you possess the following skills, experience and education:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a related technical field 
  • Proven technical aptitude in service and repairs
  • Electrical knowledge and basic carpentry skills is an asset
  • A team player with great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work comfortably in-shop or off-site at customer locations
  • A minimum high school degree with preference for post-secondary education
  • Technical certificates or education is an asset
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends occasionally when required
  • Valid driver’s license with clean abstract

  • Strong emphasis on sales and customer service
  • Developing sales opportunities through customer inquiries, walk-ins, leads and cold-calls
  • Processing of sales flow from initial inquiries to final confirmations and payment through continued follow-up procedures
  • Support for Technical Sales team members 
  • Office administration and customer service as it pertains to all sales related functions as well as all vendor communications
  • Working knowledge of all products sold by the company
  • Shipping and Receiving duties
  •  Purchasing functions and inventory control and maintenance
  • Other duties as required by management

As a qualified candidate, you possess the following skills, experience and education:

  • Experience in one or more of the following industries: Spray Foam Insulation, Protective Coatings, Finishing
  • Experience in a related field or an industrial office environment
  • Familiarity with Graco and Titan product lines would be an extremely valuable asset
  • Aptitude for continued learning to develop complete product/industry knowledge
  • A team player with great communication and interpersonal skills as well as superior organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of Sage 300 considered an asset
  • A minimum high school degree with preference for post-secondary education
  • Complete knowledge of MS Office
  • English-fluency to enable verbal and written communication
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends occasionally when required
  • Valid driver’s license with clean abstract
